recipe review: slow cooker pot pie

this one was super, super easy and really delicious. ideal if you're in a home-cooking-carbs kind of mood.

1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of celery
1 lb chicken breast
1 lb bag of froz veggies
1 packet onion soup mix
3-4 potatoes, peeled & cut into cubes
1/2 c. water
1 can biscuits

place all ingredients (excpet biscuits) in a crock-pot and cover. cook on low 8-10 hours. prepare biscuits, serve contents of slow cooker over biscuits.


i cut the thawed chicken breast into chunks and added it to the mixture--dind't cook it first. used a mix of froz veggies that had peas, carrots, and green beans. worked perfectly. used a little too much water and had to thicken the mixture up with corn starch when it was done. added lots of pepper--it was really good! i like this recipe a lot--plus, it was SO quick to prepare.
